Files on OneDrive

Why do I need my files on OneDrive?

If you are off campus, accessing files that are located on your desktop at work or on a shared server can be challenging. To ensure you have access to the important information you need to prepare for and conduct class or meetings and continue to effectively do your job while away, having your files in one location, accessible from the web (OneDrive) will ease your burdens.

How do I get my files on OneDrive?

If you currently have your files on your desktop or on your U: drive (faculty or staff drive), you will want to begin the process of transferring or copying your files and folders to OneDrive by navigating to CentreNet and clicking on the Office365/OneDrive icon from the Launchpad.

**Refer to the documentation provided here to help you get started with OneDrive, download the app for your computer, sync files, and more. https://ctl.centre.edu/support-documentation/software-web-based-tools/. Navigate to the section on Office 365.

What if I forgot a file on my U: drive and I'm already off campus?

You can still access files located in your U: drive by navigating to CentreNet and clicking the FileCentre icon from the Launchpad.

If you know the name of your computer (i.e. c12345.centre.edu), you might be able to use the VPN client to connect to Centre's network and Remote Desktop into your machine at work to access the files. This is not a guarantee.
