Adding interactive questions and formative assessments within your class presentations

As we move to remote teaching, Professors Lenny Demoranville and Jennifer Muzyka researched and found a solution that would work for their needs.  Using Google Slides in conjunction with a student assessment program called Pear Deck, they were able to achieve their desired learning outcomes for their courses.

Pear Deck allows you to create interactive slides within Google Slides. You can then share the presentation for students to work through at their own pace. The interactive slides include multiple choice, draw, text, numeric and other features. For the remainder of this term, Pear Deck is allowing any Centre faculty who create a free account using their Centre email address, to have access to their Premium features until June 2020.

Watch the following video, courtesy of Professor Lenny Demoranville, on how to integrate Pear Deck within your already created presentation.
