If you want your students to watch something that is only on DVD, you can use Plex to store and organize media on your home computer that your students can access remotely. I am using it successfully in a class this term. Initial setup is a little involved, but the site has lots of good tutorials. I'd be happy to help anyone interested.
A decent home internet connection is needed for this to work reliably. Or, let me borrow the DVD and I can create a library for your students from my own account for them to stream.
